This is a very interesting scene that my whole family wanted me to paint!
Castlepoint is on the east coast of New Zealand out from Masterton & north of Wellington.
It’s a very well-known location in New Zealand with a very steep cliff on the left with very powerful seas crashing into the steep rock face. However, the other beach area in the top right & the lagoon are much safer for swimming so it’s a popular holiday destination.
